Terms of Service

Last updated June 11, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and [Your legal entity name] when you use Mylancy. They are written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything is unclear, write to support@mylancy.co before you rely on it.

1. Who we are

Mylancy is operated by [Your legal entity name], registered under number [Company/org number], with its registered address at [Registered business address], [Country]. When these terms say “we” or “us”, that is who we mean. “You” means the person or business holding the account.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Mylancy. A few ground rules:

  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • One account belongs to one person. Do not share sign-in credentials.
  • Keep your password and any sign-in links safe. Actions taken through your account count as yours.
  • You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to open an account.

Tell us right away at support@mylancy.co if you think someone else has access to your account.

3. Plans, billing and renewal

Mylancy is a paid subscription with three plans: Starter at $22 per month, Pro at $49 per month, and Teams at $199 per month. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial; the first charge lands when the trial ends unless you cancel before that, and you do not need a card to start it.

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • If we change a price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
  • Taxes such as VAT may be added where the law requires it.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime in Settings → Plan & billing. Your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing further is charged. Refunds are covered separately in our Refunds & Cancellation policy.

5. Your content

Everything you put into Mylancy — clients, projects, time entries, invoices, messages, contracts, files — belongs to you. We do not own it, and we only process it to run the service for you.

  • You are responsible for having the right to store the information you keep about your clients, including their personal data.
  • You can export your data on request, and you can delete your account yourself, which removes it. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
  • You give us the limited permission we need to host, back up and display your content to you and the people you share it with — nothing more.

6. Client portal and contract signing

Each client can get a portal link. Anyone with the link can see what you have shared with that client, so it is your responsibility to share portal links carefully and revoke them when they should no longer work.

Contracts in Mylancy are signed with typed signatures. A signed contract is a record of an agreement between you and your client — we are not a party to it, and we do not vouch for its enforceability in your jurisdiction. The contract templates we provide are starting points, not legal advice. If a contract matters, have a lawyer read it.

7. Lancy

Lancy answers questions using the data in your workspace. Its answers are generated and informational only — they are not financial, tax or legal advice. Check the numbers and facts before you act on them.

8. Acceptable use

While using Mylancy, you agree not to:

  • store or send unlawful content, or use the service for unlawful work;
  • send spam or unsolicited messages through any part of the service;
  • abuse portal or signing links, or try to access another account’s data;
  • probe, overload, reverse engineer or interfere with the service;
  • resell or sublicense the service without our written agreement.

9. Availability

Mylancy is provided as is. We work to keep it fast and available, and we make reasonable efforts to fix problems quickly, but these plans do not come with an uptime guarantee. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

10. Termination

You can end this agreement at any time by deleting your account in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we give notice and a chance to fix the problem first; for serious abuse we may act immediately.

11. Liability

Our total liability to you for any claim connected to the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect damages such as lost profits, lost business or lost data, to the extent the law allows that exclusion.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Your consumer rights

If you use Mylancy as a consumer, you may have rights under the law where you live that these terms cannot change. Nothing here takes those rights away.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that date, the new terms apply. If you do not agree with a change, cancel before it takes effect.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [Country], and disputes are handled by the courts there — unless consumer law where you live says otherwise.

15. Contact
